WASHINGTON, September 17, 2026 – Washington fans who leave their seats for food or drinks may no longer have to choose between the concourse and the game. Monumental Sports & Entertainment has entered into a multi-year partnership agreement with LG Electronics USA to offer the display technology as part of the arena’s ongoing transformation at Capital One Arena in Chinatown.
The highlight of this project is the “Visibowl”, a set of more than 500 linear feet of Direct View LED displays installed on the District level of the Arena. These screens have been installed to make sure that the events continue to remain visible through the concourse, even when fans take time off to grab some food and drinks.
Also included under the agreement are exterior digital displays, the arena’s new business and convention center, executive suites, and other venue locations. The premium hospitality lounge known as the LG Collective is set to launch in the 2026-27 season, providing premium seating and food and beverage offerings, along with access to views inside the arena bowl.
ANC will provide installation, integration and service for the digital display solutions under the terms of the press release. The display technology is believed to be designed for use with live event programming and sponsorships, although specifications and operating expenses were not revealed by the parties involved.
Lustrous displays will not help your jump shot nor generate an additional power play. However, for the fans who are simply going to grab some snacks, the new makeover at the arena may make them reluctant to leave their seats.
